UK Casino Reviews: Licence-Checked Casinos
How we earn: some casino links on this page may pay us a commission if you sign up. It costs you nothing and never moves a casino up our list. We list only UK Gambling Commission licensed casinos. 18+. Full disclosure.
Quick answer Our UK casino reviews cover only casinos that hold an active casino remote licence on the Gambling Commission public register. Each review records the operator, the UKGC account number, the licence number and the date we checked it. We add bonus figures and scores only after reading the casino's own terms page.

What makes a UK casino review worth reading?
A useful review tells you who runs the casino, whether that company is licensed in Great Britain today, and what the offer terms actually say. Anything else is opinion. We start every review with facts you can check yourself on the UKGC register, then work through the terms, payments, games and safer gambling tools.
Most review sites lead with a star rating and a headline bonus. We do it the other way round. The licence comes first because it decides whether the casino is allowed to take your money at all. The terms come second because the headline offer means little until you know the wagering, the expiry and the payment methods that qualify.
- Licence status checked on the Gambling Commission public register, with the date recorded.
- Operator name and account number, so you know which company holds your balance.
- Offer terms read on the casino's own promotions page, not copied from another site.
- A score only once those terms are verified. Until then, the score reads as pending.
Which casinos are in our table right now?
Our table lists ten casinos that each hold an active casino remote licence on the UKGC register as of 29 September 2026. They are Unibet, bet365, Betway, Grosvenor Casinos, LeoVegas, Mr Vegas, 888casino, PlayOJO, Sky Casino and William Hill Vegas. The licence details for each are shown below.

| William Hill Vegas | WHG (International) Limited | 39225 | 039225-R-319373-015 | 29 Sep 2026 |
Six of these casinos now have verified welcome offer terms in our data, all read on their own sites on 29 September 2026: Unibet, Grosvenor, 888casino, LeoVegas, PlayOJO and Sky Casino. bet365 and Betway showed no casino welcome offer that day, but we verified their banking facts. Mr Vegas and William Hill Vegas are not yet verified, because we could not read their offer pages. That is slower than copying a bonus from an aggregator, but it means every number we show has a source and a date.
What will each casino review cover?
Every review follows the same structure so you can compare casinos side by side. It opens with the licence facts, moves to the welcome offer and its significant terms, then covers deposits and withdrawals, the game lobby, safer gambling tools and customer support. Each section says what we checked and when.
The reviews we have planned for this section are listed below with the search term each one targets.
| Planned guide | Primary keyword | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Unibet Casino Review UK | unibet casino review | Planned |
| bet365 Casino Review UK | bet365 casino review | Planned |

These are not published yet. They will appear in the latest posts grid on this page as each one goes live. Until then, the licence table above and our full casino comparison are the best place to start.
How do we check a casino's UKGC licence?
We search the Gambling Commission public register for the operator, open its business record and confirm that the casino remote licence shows as active. We record the account number, the licence number and the date of the check. If the licence is not active, the casino does not go in our table.
You can do the same check in a couple of minutes. Find the operator name in the casino's footer or terms, search for it on the register, and look at the licence status. If the footer names a company you cannot find, or the status is anything other than active, do not deposit.
This check has already removed casinos from our list. Casumo's casino remote licence shows as surrendered on the register (account 39265), so it is not listed. Our rating method explains the full process.
Why do some reviews show no bonus or score?
A missing bonus or a pending score means we have not yet read that casino's current terms on its own website. We do not copy offers from other review sites or estimate figures. When we have read and dated the terms, the bonus details and the score go in together.
There is a practical reason for this. UK casino offers change often, and the rules behind them changed in January 2026. Since 19 January 2026, bonus wagering in Great Britain is capped at 10 times, and operators can no longer offer bonuses that require you to play different products, such as betting and slots, to unlock them. An offer copied from an older page may break those rules, so we would rather show nothing than show something wrong.
Verified on 29 September 2026: Unibet, 300 free spins at £0.10 on Big Bass Splash for depositing and staking £30 on slots, 10x wagering. Grosvenor, £40 bonus + 100 free spins for a £20 first deposit, 10x deposit + bonus. 888casino, 200 free spins (code HELLO200FS) or 100% bonus up to £100, 10x bonus. LeoVegas, 50 wager-free spins on Big Bass Splash. PlayOJO, 50 free spins on Big Bass Bonanza, no wagering. Sky Casino, 100 free spins for depositing and staking £10, wagering not stated in the offer text. Full terms are on our casino comparison page.
How should you use a review before you sign up?
Use a review to shortlist, then check the casino's own terms before you deposit. Confirm the licence on the register, read the significant terms of any offer, check which payment methods qualify, and set a deposit limit during registration. A review saves you time; it does not replace reading the terms yourself.
- Check the operator and licence status on the UKGC register.
- Read the offer's significant terms on the casino's promotions page.
- Confirm your payment method qualifies for the offer. Credit cards cannot be used for gambling in Great Britain.
- Set a deposit limit before your first deposit.
- Decide in advance how much time and money you will spend.
What does each part of a review check?
Each review has six parts: the licence, the offer terms, payments, withdrawals, the games and the safer gambling tools. For each one we note what we checked, where we checked it and the date. If we have not checked a part yet, the review says so plainly instead of filling the gap with a guess.

| Review section | What we check | Where we check it |
|---|---|---|
| Licence | Operator name, UKGC account number, licence number and that the casino remote licence is active | Gambling Commission public register |
| Offer terms | Qualifying deposit and stake, wagering (capped at 10x), expiry, eligible games, qualifying payment methods | The casino's own promotions and terms pages |
| Payments | Which methods the casino lists for deposits, and which qualify for its offer | The casino's cashier or payments help page |
| Withdrawals | Processing times, limits and verification steps as the casino states them | The casino's withdrawal terms |
| Games | The main game categories and whether each game shows its rules and RTP | The casino lobby and game help screens |
| Safer gambling tools | Deposit limits, reality checks, time-outs, self-exclusion and links to support | Account settings and the safer gambling page |
| Complaints | How to complain and which dispute resolution provider the casino names | The casino's terms and complaints page |
The order matters. A casino that fails the licence check never reaches the offer stage, however good its bonus looks. A casino with unclear offer terms gets no score until the terms are clear. That keeps every review anchored to something you can check yourself.
What red flags should make you skip a casino?
Skip any casino you cannot match to an active licence on the UKGC register. Also walk away if it accepts credit cards, advertises wagering above 10x, asks you to bet on sport to unlock casino spins, or hides its significant terms. Each of these breaks a current UK rule or suggests the site is not GB-licensed.
- No operator name. A GB-licensed casino names the company that runs it, usually in the footer and the terms.
- Credit card deposits. Credit cards have been banned for gambling in Great Britain since 14 April 2020.
- Wagering above 10x. Bonus wagering has been capped at 10 times since 19 January 2026.
- Mixed-product offers. Offers that require you to play different products, such as betting and slots, have been banned since 19 January 2026.
- Stakes above the slot limits. Online slots are capped at £5 per spin for adults 25 and over, and £2 per spin for 18 to 24 year olds.
- Pressure to deposit. Countdown timers and "last chance" language are a reason to slow down, not speed up.
How often do we update a review?
We recheck a review whenever the casino changes its offer, its terms or its licence status, and we show the date of each check next to the fact it supports. Licence details carry a checked date in our table. Offer terms carry the date we read them on the casino's own page.
If you spot something that no longer matches the casino's own site, tell us through our contact page. We will check the casino's page, update the review if needed and change the date. We do not update a figure because another site says it has changed; we update it when the casino's own page says so.
What is the difference between a review and our comparison table?
The comparison table gives you the licence facts for every casino on one screen, so you can shortlist quickly. A review goes deeper on one casino: its offer terms, payments, withdrawals, games and safer gambling tools. Use the table to narrow down, then the review to decide whether to sign up at all.
Our casino comparison page holds the full table. The reviews planned below will each link back to it, and each will use the same structure so you can compare like with like.
Can you trust a review when the site earns commission?
You should know how a site is paid before you trust it. We may earn commission when you sign up through our links, and that never changes which casinos are listed. A casino goes in our table only if its licence is active on the UKGC register. Commission cannot buy a place, a score or a verified label.
Our affiliate disclosure explains how the site is funded, and our rating method sets out exactly how a score will be worked out once terms are verified. The editor, Tom Ashby, reads each casino's own terms and records the date before anything is published.
Do our reviews cover mobile play?
Yes. Each review will note whether the casino offers a website that works on phones, an app, or both, based on the casino's own pages. We check that the same safer gambling tools are available on mobile as on desktop, because limits you cannot find on your phone do not help you.
Where does safer gambling fit into our reviews?
Every review checks which safer gambling tools the casino offers and how easy they are to find. Deposit limits, reality checks, time-outs and self-exclusion should be available from your account settings. If you feel gambling is no longer fun, stop and get free support.
You must be 18 or over to gamble online in Great Britain. If you want to block yourself from every GB-licensed gambling site at once, GAMSTOP is free. The National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133 is free and open 24/7. Our safer gambling page lists every tool and service in one place.
Your questions, answered
Which casinos do you review?
We review only casinos that hold an active casino remote licence on the UKGC public register. Our table currently lists ten: Unibet, bet365, Betway, Grosvenor Casinos, LeoVegas, Mr Vegas, 888casino, PlayOJO, Sky Casino and William Hill Vegas, all checked on 29 September 2026.
Why do casinos show a pending score?
A score needs every check complete. On 29 September 2026 we verified welcome offers for six casinos (Unibet, Grosvenor, 888casino, LeoVegas, PlayOJO and Sky Casino), but we have not finished every check a score needs, so no scores are published yet. We would rather show pending than a number we cannot stand behind.
How can I check a casino's licence myself?
Find the operator name in the casino's footer or terms, search for it on the Gambling Commission public register and open the business record. Check that the casino remote licence shows as active. If you cannot find the operator or the licence is not active, do not deposit.
Why is Casumo not in your table?
On 29 September 2026 the UKGC register showed Casumo's casino remote licence as surrendered, under account 39265. We list only casinos with an active licence, so Casumo is not included. We will recheck if the register changes.
Do you get paid for reviews?
We may earn a commission when you sign up through our links, but no casino can pay to be listed, to change a review or to move up our table. The licence and terms checks are the same for every casino.
What does each casino review cover?
Every review covers the same six areas: the UKGC licence, the offer terms, payments, withdrawals, the games and the safer gambling tools. Each part says what we checked, where we checked it and the date, and says plainly when we have not checked it yet.
