Best Online Casino UK: Every Licensed Casino in Our Table

How we earn: some casino links on this page may pay us a commission if you sign up. It costs you nothing and never moves a casino up our list. We list only UK Gambling Commission licensed casinos. 18+. Full disclosure.

Quick answer The best online casino in the UK for you is one that holds an active UK Gambling Commission licence, publishes clear bonus terms, pays out through a method you already use and gives you working safer gambling tools. Our table lists ten UKGC-licensed casinos, each checked on the public register on 29 September 2026.

Order: casinos whose welcome offer we have read on their own site come first; the rest follow. Offers and banking facts were read from each operator's UK site on the date shown. Licence numbers link to each operator's entry on the Gambling Commission public register.

Every casino below was checked on the UKGC public register on 29 September 2026. Licence details can change, so click through to the register entry for the live status before you deposit. Read our affiliate disclosure to see how the site is funded.

Each section below gives the operator, UKGC account number, licence number and licence start date from the register, then what we have verified, what to check before you sign up, who the casino may suit on the facts we hold, and a link to its register entry.

A note on “licence start date”. This is the date the register shows for the current licence record. Many of the casinos in our table show 1 November 2014, which is when the Gambling Commission began licensing remote operators that serve British players from overseas. A later date does not mean a casino is less safe. It can simply mean the business moved its licence to a new company. What matters to you is that the licence is active today.

How do the six verified welcome offers compare?

The six offers we verified on 29 September 2026 differ most on wagering, expiry and what you must stake to qualify. Two carry no wagering on spin winnings (LeoVegas and PlayOJO), three apply 10x in different ways, and one does not state wagering in its offer text (Sky Casino).

Casino Offer To qualify Wagering Expiry Max win Eligible games
Unibet 300 free spins at £0.10 each Deposit and stake £30 on slots; debit card or instant bank transfer only 10x on free spin winnings Claim within 7 days; spins expire in 48 hours Not stated in the offer text Stake on slots; spins on Big Bass Splash
Grosvenor £40 bonus + 100 free spins £20 first deposit (not PayPal or Paysafe); select the offer in the cashier first 10x deposit + bonus (£600 on £20 + £40) Offer runs until further notice; deadlines in full terms A max win applies; the figure is in the full terms Selected slots; spins on Big Bass Splash; slots count 100%, live casino 10%, jackpots 50%
888casino Choice of 200 free spins (code HELLO200FS) or 100% bonus up to £100 Spins: £20 deposit, then stake £20 within 7 days. Match: £10 deposit 10x bonus Spins: valid 7 days, 7 days to wager. Match: claim within 48 hours, wager within 90 days. Both end 31/12/2026 £100 Selected games (spins) or selected slots (match)
LeoVegas 50 wager-free spins £10 deposit, then wager £10 once (1x) on eligible casino games within 7 days of registering None on spin winnings Spins expire in 3 days Not stated in the offer text Big Bass Splash
PlayOJO 50 free spins at £0.10 each First deposit only; £10 minimum on the banking page None Not stated on the offer page No cap: “no limit to how much you can win” Big Bass Bonanza
Sky Casino 100 free spins £10 deposit and stake Not stated in the offer text Free spins expire after 30 days Not stated in the offer text Eligible games only (not named in the offer text)

We read all six offers on each casino’s own website from a UK connection on 29 September 2026. The order follows our table and is not a ranking, and no scores are published yet. Where a cell says “not stated”, the casino’s offer text does not state that term, which is not the same as saying there is no such limit. Offers change often, so read the live terms before you deposit.

Two other casinos in our table, bet365 and Betway, showed no casino welcome offer on their sites when we checked that day, although we did verify their banking facts. We could not read the offers for Mr Vegas (the site refused the connection) or William Hill Vegas (the offer text did not load), so those two offers are not yet verified and we show no figures for them.

1. Unibet Casino

Operator: Platinum Gaming Limited
UKGC account number: 45322
Licence number: 045322-R-324275-019
Licence start date: 12 July 2016
Register checked: 29 September 2026

Unibet is one of six casinos in our table where we have read the full welcome offer on the operator’s own site. We checked it on 29 September 2026 at unibet.co.uk/promotions. Here is what the offer says, set out term by term so you can see every condition before you commit any money.

Term What the offer says
Offer 300 free spins at £0.10 each on Big Bass Splash
How to qualify Deposit and stake £30 on slots
Wagering 10x
Time to claim Claim within 7 days
Spin expiry Spins expire in 48 hours
Who can claim New GB customers only
Opt in Yes, you must opt in
Qualifying payment methods Debit card or instant bank transfer only
Eligible games Stake on slots; spins are played on Big Bass Splash
Maximum win Not stated in the offer text we read
Other conditions Game contributions vary, max stake applies
Withdrawal times Not stated on the offer page

What this means in practice. You need to be a new customer in Great Britain. You opt in to the offer, then deposit using a debit card or instant bank transfer. Other payment methods do not qualify. You then stake £30 on slots. Once that is done, you have seven days to claim the spins. After you claim them, you have 48 hours to use all 300 spins on Big Bass Splash. Any spins left after 48 hours are lost.

The spins are worth £0.10 each, so 300 spins have a total face value of £30. Winnings from the spins carry a 10x wagering requirement. That is the highest multiple allowed under the Gambling Commission’s rules that came into force on 19 January 2026. Game contributions vary, which means some games may count for less than 100% towards wagering. A maximum stake applies while you have bonus funds. The offer text we read does not state a maximum win figure, so check the full terms on the site for any cap before you play.

Who it may suit: based only on what we have verified, this offer is built for someone who already plays slots, is comfortable staking £30, pays by debit card or instant bank transfer, and can use 300 spins within a 48 hour window. If you do not play slots, or you cannot set aside time in the two days after claiming, the offer is less useful to you. Unibet’s licence record on the register dates from 12 July 2016.

Banking (checked 29 September 2026): the payment logos on unibet.co.uk/promotions show Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Trustly. Unibet’s offer page does not state withdrawal times or a minimum withdrawal.

2. bet365 Casino

Operator: Hillside (UK Gaming) ENC
UKGC account number: 55149
Licence number: 055149-R-331499-004
Licence start date: 17 October 2019
Register checked: 29 September 2026

What we have verified so far: the licence, the operator name and the licence start date above, all read from the UKGC public register, plus bet365’s banking facts. When we checked from a UK connection on 29 September 2026, bet365’s casino site showed no casino welcome offer, so we print no offer figures. Treat any bet365 casino offer you see in an advert or on another website as unconfirmed until you see it on bet365’s own site.

Banking (help.bet365.com payments page, checked 29 September 2026): debit card, Apple Pay, Pay by Bank and e-wallets, from £5. bet365 says it aims to process withdrawals in 4 hours, and up to 24 hours. That is bet365’s own stated target, which we have not tested.

What to check on its terms page before you sign up:

  • The exact offer, and whether it is free spins, bonus funds or something else.
  • The minimum deposit and any minimum stake you must place to qualify.
  • The wagering multiple. Anything above 10x should not appear on a UKGC-licensed offer after 19 January 2026.
  • Whether the offer requires you to bet on sport to unlock casino rewards. Mixed-product promotions of that kind have been banned since 19 January 2026.
  • The time limit to claim and the time limit to use any spins or bonus funds.
  • Any maximum win or maximum cash-out on bonus winnings.
  • Which games count, and at what percentage.
  • Which payment methods qualify for the offer.

Who it may suit: on the facts we hold, bet365 Casino is operated by Hillside (UK Gaming) ENC and its current licence record on the register starts on 17 October 2019. That tells you it has held an active UK licence for several years. Its payments page lists debit card, Apple Pay, Pay by Bank and e-wallets from £5, which may suit you if you want a low minimum. We cannot say more about fit until a casino welcome offer appears on its own site for us to read.

3. Betway Casino

Operator: Betway Limited
UKGC account number: 39372
Licence number: 039372-R-319367-029
Licence start date: 1 November 2014
Register checked: 29 September 2026

What we have verified so far: Betway Limited holds an active Casino Remote licence under account 39372, with the licence number and start date shown above. We also verified Betway’s banking facts on its casino page. When we checked on 29 September 2026, Betway’s casino page said offers are shown in its Promotions area, but no casino welcome offer was shown to us, so we print no offer figures.

Banking (betway.com/gb/en/casino, checked 29 September 2026): debit cards, PayPal, e-wallets and open banking. Betway says it “processes withdrawals within 24 hours, although timing may vary at weekends”. It applies a £5 minimum withdrawal to debit card and PayPal transactions, and a lower remaining balance can still be withdrawn with a £1 processing fee deducted. The Betway app is on the Apple App Store and Google Play.

What to check on its terms page before you sign up:

  • Whether the offer is for new customers only and whether you must opt in.
  • The qualifying deposit and stake, and whether the stake must be on slots or on other games.
  • The wagering requirement and the deadline for meeting it.
  • Whether any part of the offer is tied to sports betting. Since 19 January 2026, a casino bonus cannot require you to play a different product to unlock it.
  • Any cap on winnings from bonus funds or free spins.
  • Payment methods excluded from the offer.

Who it may suit: Betway’s licence record on the register dates from 1 November 2014. If a long-standing UK licence history matters to you, that is a fact in its favour, and its stated £5 minimum withdrawal and 24 hour processing claim are clear banking terms to compare. We will not describe an offer until one appears on its own site for us to read.

4. Grosvenor Casinos

Operator: Rank Interactive (Gibraltar) Limited
UKGC account number: 57924
Licence number: 057924-R-334666-005
Licence start date: 11 March 2022
Register checked: 29 September 2026

What we have verified: we read Grosvenor’s welcome offer on its own promotions page on 29 September 2026 (source: grosvenorcasinos.com/promotions/gc-nwo-d20g40100fs-lo, checked 29 September 2026). Here are its significant terms:

Term What the offer says
Offer £40 bonus + 100 free spins on Big Bass Splash
Minimum deposit £20 first deposit
Excluded deposit methods PayPal and Paysafe deposits do not qualify
How to claim Select the offer in the cashier before depositing
Wagering 10x deposit + bonus (£600 on £20 + £40)
Expiry Offer runs until further notice; claim and wagering deadlines are in the full terms
Maximum win A max win applies; the figure is set out in the full terms
Eligible games Bonus on selected slots; spins on Big Bass Splash
Game contributions Slots 100%, live casino 10%, jackpots 50%
Who can claim New players, 18+
Spin value Not stated in the offer text we read

Grosvenor’s wagering works differently from the spin offers, because it applies to the deposit and the bonus together. A worked example using its own figures: you deposit £20 and receive the £40 bonus. That is £60 in total (£20 + £40). At 10x, you need to wager £600 (10 x £60) before bonus funds and winnings become withdrawable. Only slots count in full. At 10% for live casino, £10 staked on a live table counts as £1 towards the £600; at 50% for jackpot games, £10 counts as £5. Compare that with Unibet or 888casino, where the 10x applies only to spin winnings or the bonus amount, so the play-through can be much smaller.

The offer text we read does not state the value of each free spin, and the max win figure sits in the full terms rather than the headline, so open those before you deposit.

What to check on its terms page before you sign up:

  • The offer headline and the full significant terms listed next to it.
  • The minimum deposit to qualify.
  • The wagering multiple, which should be 10x or lower.
  • How long you have to claim the offer and how long it stays valid.
  • Which games are eligible and whether live casino or table games count at a lower rate.
  • Any maximum win on bonus funds.

Who it may suit: on the verified terms, this offer suits someone who plays slots, deposits by a method other than PayPal or Paysafe, and is comfortable with £600 of wagering on a £20 deposit. If you mainly play live casino, the 10% contribution makes the wagering far harder to finish. The licence start date of 11 March 2022 is a record of when this licence entry began, not a measure of quality.

5. LeoVegas

Operator: LeoVegas Gaming PLC
UKGC account number: 39198
Licence number: 039198-R-319450-029
Licence start date: 1 November 2014
Register checked: 29 September 2026

What we have verified: we read the LeoVegas welcome offer on leovegas.co.uk and its banking facts on leovegas.co.uk/payment-methods, both on 29 September 2026. Here are its significant terms:

Term What the offer says
Offer 50 wager-free spins on Big Bass Splash
Minimum deposit £10
Qualifying stake Wager £10 once (1x) on eligible casino games
Deadline to qualify Deposit and wager within 7 days of registering
Wagering on spin winnings None
Spin expiry Spins expire in 3 days
Maximum win Not stated in the offer text
Eligible games Big Bass Splash (spins)
Other terms New customers only. Opt in. Wagering contributions vary. Terms and exclusions apply.

This is an example of a no wagering offer: whatever the 50 spins win is not subject to play-through. Note the 3 day spin expiry, which is short, and that the offer text does not state a maximum win. Banking (LeoVegas payment page, checked 29 September 2026): Visa Debit, Visa Electron, Mastercard, PayPal, Apple Pay and Open Banking. Minimum deposit £10 by debit card, PayPal or Open Banking, and £5 by Apple Pay. Minimum withdrawal £10 by Open Banking or Apple Pay (the debit card minimum is not stated). LeoVegas says that “depending on your chosen method, it can take up to five business days for the funds to appear in your account”.

What to check on its terms page before you sign up:

  • The full offer and whether it is split across more than one deposit.
  • The qualifying deposit and any minimum stake.
  • The wagering multiple and which balance it applies to.
  • Expiry dates for the claim and for any spins or bonus funds.
  • Maximum win or cash-out limits.
  • Payment methods that do not qualify.
  • Maximum stake per spin while a bonus is active.

Who it may suit: on the verified terms, someone who wants spin winnings free of wagering, can make a £10 deposit and £10 wager within 7 days of registering, and will use the spins within 3 days. LeoVegas has a licence record on the register dating from 1 November 2014.

6. Mr Vegas

Operator: Videoslots Limited
UKGC account number: 39380
Licence number: 039380-R-319311-036
Licence start date: 1 November 2014
Register checked: 29 September 2026

What we have verified so far: Mr Vegas is operated by Videoslots Limited, which holds the licence above under account 39380. When we tried to read its offer from a UK connection on 29 September 2026, the site refused the connection, so the current Mr Vegas welcome offer is not yet verified. We show no offer or banking figures for it.

What to check on its terms page before you sign up:

  • What the welcome offer is and who qualifies.
  • Minimum deposit and qualifying stake.
  • Wagering multiple and the time limit for meeting it.
  • Eligible games and contribution rates.
  • Any cap on what you can win from bonus funds or spins.
  • Whether you need to opt in or enter a code.

Who it may suit: the register shows a licence start date of 1 November 2014 for Videoslots Limited. The operator name differs from the brand name, which is common. When you check the register, search by the account number 39380 rather than the brand name to find the right entry.

7. 888casino

Operator: 888 UK Limited
UKGC account number: 39028
Licence number: 039028-R-319297-014
Licence start date: 1 November 2014
Register checked: 29 September 2026

What we have verified: we read 888casino’s welcome offers on 888casino.com/promotions on 29 September 2026. It gives new customers a choice of two alternative offers, and you can take only one:

Term Offer 1: 200 free spins Offer 2: 100% bonus
Offer 200 free spins at £0.10 each, code HELLO200FS 100% bonus up to £100
Minimum deposit £20 first deposit £10
Qualifying stake Stake £20 on Selected Games within 7 days of deposit Stake within 48 hours
Wagering Spin winnings convert into bonus, then 10x bonus on Selected Games 10x bonus on selected slots; bonus used only once cash balance is £0
Expiry Spins valid 7 days; wagering within 7 days Claim within 48 hours; wager within 90 days
Maximum win £100 from free spin winnings Winnings capped at £100
Eligible games Selected Games (e.g. Game of Thrones, Fishin’ Frenzy Lure Em In) Selected slots
Offer end date 31/12/2026 31/12/2026
Who can claim UK/IE new customers, GBP accounts, one welcome offer per customer UK/IE new customers, GBP accounts, one welcome offer per customer

Which of the two suits you depends on how you play. Offer 1 asks for a larger deposit and a £20 stake, and caps what the spins can turn into at £100 of bonus. Offer 2 starts from £10 but only uses bonus funds once your cash is gone, and caps winnings at £100. With both, the 10x applies to the bonus, not to your deposit. Banking: 888’s banking page (888casino.com/banking, checked 29 September 2026) lists Visa, Mastercard, Paysafecard, MuchBetter, bank draft and cheque. That page covers several markets, so confirm in the cashier which methods apply to your UK account. It does not state withdrawal times or a minimum withdrawal.

What to check on its terms page before you sign up:

  • Whether there is a no deposit element and what conditions apply to it.
  • The deposit offer, its minimum deposit and its wagering multiple.
  • Time limits on each part of the offer.
  • Which games count towards wagering.
  • Maximum win or maximum conversion of bonus funds to cash.
  • Any payment methods that are excluded.

Who it may suit: someone who wants a choice: Offer 1 if you are happy to deposit and stake £20 for 200 spins, Offer 2 if you prefer a smaller £10 starting deposit and a longer 90 day wagering window. Either way, winnings from the offer are capped at £100. 888casino’s licence record dates from 1 November 2014.

Licence number: 039326-R-319358-061
Licence start date: 1 November 2014
Register checked: 29 September 2026

What we have verified: we read PlayOJO’s welcome offer on playojo.com (playojo.co.uk redirects there), its banking page at playojo.com/banking and its help page at playojo.com/help, all on 29 September 2026. Here are its significant terms:

Term What the offer says
Offer 50 free spins on Big Bass Bonanza
Spin value £0.10 per spin
Minimum deposit £10 (banking page minimum); first deposit only
Wagering None
Maximum win No cap stated: “no limit to how much you can win”
Expiry Not stated on the pages we read (the help page points to the Rewards section)
Eligible games Big Bass Bonanza
Exclusions Excludes players in Northern Ireland. Irregular play may lead to removal of rewards.

This is the second no wagering example among our verified offers: spin winnings carry no play-through. Banking (checked 29 September 2026): PlayOJO lists Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Trustly, Paysafecard and instant bank transfer (TrueLayer), with a £0 minimum withdrawal. On timing, PlayOJO’s help page states: “We process 95% of withdrawal requests within minutes, though the time it takes to appear in your account may differ between payment providers.” That is PlayOJO’s own claim, which we have not tested.

What to check on its terms page before you sign up:

  • The offer type and the number or value of any spins.
  • Whether winnings from spins carry wagering, and if so, the multiple.
  • The minimum deposit to qualify.
  • The game the spins are locked to.
  • How long the spins last once credited.
  • Any cap on winnings.

Who it may suit: on the verified terms, someone outside Northern Ireland who wants a small spin offer with no wagering and no stated win cap, and who values a £0 minimum withdrawal. PlayOJO is operated by Skill On Net Limited, licence record starting 1 November 2014. Search the register by account number 39326 to confirm the brand is listed under that operator.

9. Sky Casino

Operator: Bonne Terre Gaming Limited
UKGC account number: 65519
Licence number: 065519-R-339675-002
Licence start date: 18 November 2024
Register checked: 29 September 2026

What we have verified: we read Sky Casino’s welcome offer on skycasino.com on 29 September 2026. Here are its significant terms:

Term What the offer says
Offer 100 free spins
How to qualify Deposit and stake £10
Wagering Not stated in the offer text
Expiry Free spins expire after 30 days
Maximum win Not stated in the offer text
Spin value Not stated in the offer text
Eligible games Eligible games only (not named in the offer text)
Other terms New customers only. Opt in required. Games and eligibility restrictions apply. Further terms apply.

The offer text does not state wagering, so we do not assume there is none. Open the full terms before you deposit and check the wagering, the named games and any win cap. The 30 day spin expiry is the longest of the six verified offers. Banking: the payment logos on the site show Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Withdrawal times are not stated on the pages we could read.

What to check on its terms page before you sign up:

  • The offer and the exact steps to qualify.
  • Minimum deposit and minimum stake.
  • The wagering multiple, if any.
  • Whether any part of the offer involves another product, such as sports betting. That kind of mixed-product offer is not allowed since 19 January 2026.
  • Expiry of the claim window and of any spins.
  • Qualifying payment methods.

Who it may suit: someone who wants a low £10 qualifying deposit and stake and a long 30 day window to use the spins, and who will check the full terms for wagering and win caps first. The licence start date of 18 November 2024 is the most recent in our table; it reflects when this licence entry began, not how long the brand has existed.

10. William Hill Vegas

Operator: WHG (International) Limited
UKGC account number: 39225
Licence number: 039225-R-319373-015
Licence start date: 1 November 2014
Register checked: 29 September 2026

What we have verified so far: WHG (International) Limited holds the licence above under account 39225. When we checked from a UK connection on 29 September 2026, the William Hill Vegas promotions pages did not load any offer or banking text we could read, so its current welcome offer is not yet verified and we show no figures for it.

What to check on its terms page before you sign up:

  • The offer headline and all significant terms beside it.
  • Qualifying deposit, stake and eligible games.
  • Wagering multiple and deadline.
  • Whether the offer is linked to betting on sport, which is banned for casino offers since 19 January 2026.
  • Maximum win or cash-out.

Years each operator has held its current UKGC remote casino licence, from the "From" date on the Gambling Commission public register, checked 29 September 2026. 1 November 2014 is when the UK point-of-consumption licensing regime began.

Licence history is one of the few facts we can confirm for every casino in our table today, so it is worth understanding what it does and does not tell you. A long record shows that an operator has held a UK licence, under the same licence entry, for many years. That means it has been subject to the Gambling Commission’s rules through each change listed above, from the credit card ban in 2020 to the wagering cap in 2026.

A shorter record does not mean a casino is new or less safe. Operators restructure, move brands between companies and apply for fresh licences. The register date reflects the licence entry, not the age of the brand. That is why we show the operator name next to each brand. If the operator name on the casino’s footer matches the register, and the status is Active, the licence check has passed.

Here is the full licence table, with the date we last checked each entry.

How do I check a casino’s UKGC licence myself?

Go to the Gambling Commission’s public register and search by the account number shown in the casino’s footer. Searching by account number is more reliable than searching by brand name, because the licence is held by the operator. For example, Mr Vegas is licensed through Videoslots Limited, and PlayOJO through Skill On Net Limited. On the result page, look at the activity list for Casino Remote and check that its status is Active. Then look at the list of trading names or domains to confirm the site you are on is covered.

Three-step guide to checking a casino licence on the UK Gambling Commission public register: find the account number in the footer, search the register, confirm an active Casino Remote licence and matching operator
How to check a casino licence on the Gambling Commission register in three steps.

Do this check again if you return to a casino after a long gap. Licence status can change. We re-check every casino in our table and record the date, but the register itself is always the live source.

How do I choose the best online casino in the UK for me?

Start with the licence, then read the terms, then check payments, withdrawals and safer gambling tools. A casino site is only worth your time if it holds an active UK Gambling Commission licence. After that, the right choice depends on the games you play, how you pay and how clear the rules are.

Most lists of the best casino sites UK readers find rank brands on things you cannot check. You are better served by six tests you can run yourself in about ten minutes, in the order we use them.

Step 1: Confirm the UKGC licence

Scroll to the footer of the casino site. A UK-licensed casino should show its operator name and its Gambling Commission account number there. Copy the account number. Open the Gambling Commission’s public register and search for it. You are looking for three things:

  • The operator name matches the name in the casino’s footer.
  • The licence status for Casino Remote activity shows as Active.
  • The brand or domain you are on is listed under that account.

If any of those three do not match, stop there. Do not open an account. This is the single most useful check you can run, and it is the one we run first for every casino in our table. It is also why our list is ten casinos, not twelve. When we checked, Casumo’s Casino Remote licence showed as Surrendered on the register under account 39265, so we left it out.

Step 2: Read the significant terms of any offer

A welcome offer can look generous and still be a poor fit for you. Look for the box of significant terms next to the offer, then open the full terms. We explain how to read them in the next section. For now, note the wagering multiple, the minimum deposit, the time limits and any cap on winnings.

Step 3: Check how you can pay

Find the casino’s payments page. Check that your usual payment method is listed for deposits and for withdrawals. Remember that credit cards cannot be used for gambling in Great Britain. If the casino’s welcome offer excludes certain methods, make sure your method is one that qualifies.

Step 4: Check the withdrawal rules

Withdrawal rules matter more than deposit rules. Look for any minimum withdrawal amount, any fees, any limits per day or per month, and what identity checks the casino asks for. Read when the casino says it will ask for documents. Doing verification early saves you waiting later.

Step 5: Look for safer gambling tools

Open the account settings or the safer gambling page before you deposit. You want to see deposit limits, time reminders or session limits, a way to take a break, and a way to self-exclude. You should also see links to support services such as GamCare, BeGambleAware and GAMSTOP. If these are hard to find, count that against the site.

Step 6: Match the site to how you play

Only after the first five steps does it make sense to look at games. Think about what you actually play. If you mainly play slots, a slots-based offer might suit you. If you mainly play table games or live casino, a slots-only offer may do nothing for you. Our guides to slots and live casino explain what to look for in each.

Why we do not call any single casino the best

People search for the best online casino UK, the top online casino or the top casino sites, and it is fair to want a short answer. The honest answer is that no casino is best for everyone. A slots offer is of little use if you play blackjack. A 48 hour spin window is a poor fit if you only play at weekends. A casino that does not accept your usual payment method for its welcome offer is not the right choice for you, however good the headline looks.

So instead of naming a winner, we give you checked facts and a method. The facts are the licence details in each section above. The method is the six steps in this section. Put the two together and you can pick the casino site that fits how you play, on evidence you have seen yourself.

How do I read a casino’s significant terms?

Significant terms are the key conditions shown next to a promotion. Read the wagering multiple, the minimum deposit, the claim and expiry deadlines, any maximum win, and the eligible games. Since 19 January 2026, wagering on bonuses in Great Britain is capped at 10x, so any higher figure is a warning sign.

The headline tells you what you might get. The significant terms tell you what you must do to get it, and what you can keep.

Wagering requirement

Wagering is the number of times you must play through bonus funds or bonus winnings before you can withdraw them. If you win £10 from free spins and the wagering is 10x, you would need to stake £100 on eligible games before those winnings become withdrawable. The Gambling Commission capped wagering requirements at 10 times from 19 January 2026. A UKGC-licensed casino offer that asks for more than that should not exist after that date. If you see one, check the date on the terms and whether the site is really licensed in Great Britain.

Also check what the wagering applies to. Some offers apply it to the bonus amount only. Some apply it to winnings from spins. Our Unibet section above shows how this looks in a real, verified offer: 300 spins at £0.10 each, with 10x wagering.

Minimum deposit and qualifying stake

Most offers ask you to deposit a minimum amount, and some also ask you to stake a set amount before the offer unlocks. Unibet’s verified offer, for example, asks you to deposit and stake £30 on slots. Check whether the stake has to be on a certain type of game. If it has to be on slots and you do not play slots, the offer is not for you.

Claim window and expiry

There are often two clocks. One is how long you have to claim the offer after qualifying. The other is how long the spins or bonus funds last once credited. In the Unibet offer, you have 7 days to claim and the spins expire in 48 hours. Short expiry windows put pressure on you to play when you might not want to. Decide in advance whether the window fits your plans.

Maximum win or maximum cash-out

Some offers cap what you can withdraw from bonus winnings. The cap may be shown as a fixed amount or as a multiple of the bonus. If the offer text does not mention one, look in the full terms. If you still cannot find it, ask customer support in writing and keep the reply.

Eligible games and contribution rates

Offers usually name which games you can use bonus funds or spins on. Free spins are often locked to one slot. Bonus funds may be usable on many games, but different games can count differently towards wagering. A slot might count at 100%, while a table game counts at a lower rate or not at all. “Game contributions vary” is a common phrase that tells you to check the table in the full terms.

Maximum stake while a bonus is active

Many offers set a maximum stake per spin or per hand while you have bonus funds. Breaking that limit can void your bonus. This is separate from the legal slot stake limits covered below, and it can be lower.

Payment method exclusions

Some offers only apply if you deposit with certain methods. Unibet’s verified offer, for example, qualifies only on debit card or instant bank transfer. Check this before you deposit, not after.

Mixed-product conditions

Since 19 January 2026, operators cannot offer bonuses that require you to play different products to unlock them, such as betting on sport to get casino spins. A casino offer should be a casino offer. If you see one that crosses products, check the date and the licence.

A quick rule: if you cannot explain an offer’s terms to a friend in two sentences, you do not understand it well enough to take it. Skip it or ask support first. Our casino bonuses guide goes into more detail.

What UKGC rules protect UK casino players?

The UK Gambling Commission sets the rules for every licensed casino site serving Great Britain. The key ones for you are the minimum age of 18, the ban on credit cards for gambling, stake limits on online slots, the 10x cap on bonus wagering, and the ban on mixed-product promotions.

Minimum age

The minimum legal age for online gambling in Great Britain is 18. Licensed casinos must check your age and identity. Expect to be asked for details at sign-up, and possibly for documents later.

Credit card ban

Gambling businesses in Great Britain have been banned from accepting credit cards for gambling since 14 April 2020. This covers online casinos. If a site offers you a credit card deposit option for gambling, that is a sign it is not operating under a GB licence.

Online slot stake limits

Online slots are capped at £5 per spin for adults aged 25 and over, from 9 April 2025. For adults aged 18 to 24, the cap is £2 per spin, from 21 May 2025. The casino applies the limit based on the age verified on your account. You cannot raise it.

Bonus wagering cap

Since 19 January 2026, wagering requirements on gambling bonuses in Great Britain are capped at 10 times. Before that date, much higher multiples were common. When you compare offers, a lower multiple means less play needed before you can withdraw bonus winnings.

Mixed-product promotion ban

Since 19 January 2026, operators cannot offer bonuses that require you to play different products, such as betting and slots, to unlock them. The Gambling Commission says the ban is aimed at reducing harm and boosting fairness and openness.

Are casino winnings taxed in the UK?

Winnings are generally not taxed for UK players. Gov.uk lists betting, lottery or pools winnings among the things you do not pay Capital Gains Tax on. This is not tax advice. If your situation is unusual, speak to a qualified adviser or HMRC.

How do payments and withdrawals work at UK casino sites?

You deposit using a method the casino accepts, play, then request a withdrawal back to an eligible method. Credit cards are banned for gambling in Great Britain. Before you deposit, check the casino’s payments page for accepted methods, limits, fees and identity checks, because these differ from site to site.

For six casinos we have read banking facts on their own pages, and these appear in each casino’s section above with the date checked: bet365, Betway, LeoVegas, PlayOJO, 888casino and Unibet (payment logos), plus Sky Casino’s payment logos. What follows is general guidance that applies to any UK-licensed casino. Our payment methods guide covers each method in more depth.

Casino Methods named on its own pages Stated withdrawal processing Minimums stated
bet365 Debit card, Apple Pay, Pay by Bank, e-wallets Aims to process in 4 hours, up to 24 hours From £5
Betway Debit cards, PayPal, e-wallets, open banking Within 24 hours; may vary at weekends £5 withdrawal (debit card, PayPal); lower balance with £1 fee
LeoVegas Visa Debit, Visa Electron, Mastercard, PayPal, Apple Pay, Open Banking Up to five business days depending on method £10 deposit (£5 Apple Pay); £10 withdrawal (Open Banking, Apple Pay)
PlayOJO Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Trustly, Paysafecard, instant bank transfer “We process 95% of withdrawal requests within minutes” (PlayOJO) £10 deposit; £0 withdrawal
Unibet Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Trustly (logos) Not stated Not stated
Sky Casino Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Google Pay (logos) Not stated Not stated

Processing claims are what each casino says about itself. We have not timed any withdrawal.

How do payment methods compare on speed?

Speed depends on the method and, more often, on the casino’s own pending period and your verification status. The table below describes general characteristics of each method type. It is not a statement about any casino in our table and contains no timings. For the processing claims individual casinos make about themselves, see the banking table above.

Method type Deposits Withdrawals Typical speed characteristics
Debit card Usually credited straight away Widely supported Money passes through the card network and your bank, so it can take longer to arrive than some other routes.
E-wallet (such as PayPal) Usually credited straight away Often back to the same wallet Often one of the quicker routes once the casino releases the money.
Open banking / instant bank transfer Approved in your banking app Often supported Can be quick where both the casino and your bank support instant payments.
Apple Pay Usually credited straight away Varies Withdrawals may go to the debit card behind it, so expect card-like timing.
paysafecard Credited when you enter the voucher code Usually not possible Deposit only. You need a second method to withdraw, which can add a verification step.
Pay by mobile Added to your phone bill or credit Not usually possible Deposit only, usually for small amounts.

If you are looking for a fast withdrawal casino UK players rate, the biggest thing you control is verification: complete it before your first withdrawal request, and withdraw to the same method you deposited with.

Deposits

Common deposit options at UK casinos include debit cards and bank transfers, and many sites offer others. The casino’s payments page is the only reliable source for which methods a specific site accepts. Look for minimum and maximum deposit amounts and any fees. Remember that some welcome offers only qualify with certain methods.

No credit cards

Since 14 April 2020, gambling businesses in Great Britain cannot accept credit cards for gambling. This rule exists to stop people gambling with borrowed money. It is one of the easiest ways to tell a licensed site from an unlicensed one.

Withdrawals

When you ask to withdraw, the casino processes the request, then sends the money to your payment method. The total time depends on the casino’s own processing and on the payment method. Read the casino’s terms for:

  • Minimum withdrawal amount.
  • Any withdrawal fees.
  • Daily, weekly or monthly withdrawal limits.
  • Which methods you can withdraw to. Many casinos require you to withdraw to the same method you deposited with, where possible.
  • Whether a pending period applies, during which you can cancel the withdrawal.

Identity checks

Licensed casinos must verify who you are and how old you are. Some also ask for proof of address or proof of where your money comes from. Complete these checks early. It is far less frustrating to verify your account before you have a withdrawal waiting.

Keep records

Take a screenshot of the offer terms on the day you sign up. Keep emails about deposits and withdrawals. If there is ever a dispute, you will have the facts in writing.

Which features matter most: fast withdrawals, low deposits, no wagering or apps?

That depends on how you play. If you want your money quickly, focus on withdrawal rules and verification. If you play small amounts, check minimum deposits per payment method. If you dislike play-through, look for no wagering offers. Whatever the feature, it only counts after the licence check passes.

People often search for these features by name. Here is what each one means in practice, and why we do not attach any of them to a specific casino until we have read its terms.

Fast withdrawal and instant withdrawal casinos

An instant withdrawal casino is one that says it releases payouts with little or no pending period. In practice, the total time is the casino’s processing plus the payment method’s own timing, and a first withdrawal often waits on identity checks. We have not timed any casino’s withdrawals, but we have read what some casinos claim. bet365 says it aims to process in 4 hours, up to 24 hours. Betway says it processes withdrawals within 24 hours, although timing may vary at weekends. PlayOJO states: “We process 95% of withdrawal requests within minutes, though the time it takes to appear in your account may differ between payment providers.” All three were read on 29 September 2026, and all three are the casinos’ own claims, not our measurements.

Low deposit and £1 minimum deposit casinos

A low deposit casino UK players look for accepts small first deposits. Some sites advertise a £1 minimum deposit, but the minimum can differ by payment method, and a small deposit may not qualify for the welcome offer. Unibet’s verified offer, for example, needs a £30 deposit and stake on slots, while Sky Casino’s needs £10 deposited and staked and 888casino’s match offer starts from £10. LeoVegas lists a £5 Apple Pay minimum deposit against £10 for debit card, which shows how minimums vary by method (checked 29 September 2026). A no minimum deposit casino in the strict sense is rare, so read the banking page for each method’s limit.

No wagering and low wagering bonuses

A no wagering casino offer pays winnings from spins or bonus funds as cash, with no play-through. A low wagering casino bonus has a small multiple. Since 19 January 2026 every UKGC-licensed offer is capped at 10x, so the old gap between “low” and “high” wagering has narrowed. Still compare expiry, maximum win and eligible games. Two offers we verified on 29 September 2026 are examples of no wagering offers: LeoVegas gives 50 wager-free spins on Big Bass Splash (spins expire in 3 days, max win not stated), and PlayOJO gives 50 free spins on Big Bass Bonanza with no wagering and a stated “no limit to how much you can win”. Both need a deposit first.

No deposit bonuses at new casino sites

A UK casino no deposit bonus is credited without a deposit, usually after sign-up and verification. New casino sites UK players find sometimes use them to attract sign-ups. They are usually small and come with strict terms. We have not verified a no deposit offer at any casino in our table, and we will not list one until we have read it at the source.

Best casino sign up offers and welcome bonuses

The best casino sign up offers are the ones whose terms fit your play, not the ones with the biggest headline. Compare the five significant terms covered above. An online casino bonus you cannot realistically complete in the time allowed has little value to you.

Paysafecard casinos

A paysafecard casino accepts prepaid vouchers bought with cash or online. It lets you deposit without sharing card details, but you usually cannot withdraw to the voucher, so you will need a second method for payouts. Check whether paysafecard deposits qualify for the offer you want.

Best casino apps in the UK

A casino app runs under the same licence and terms as the website. We have not tested any casino’s app, so we do not rank them. On 29 September 2026, Betway’s casino page said its app is on the Apple App Store and Google Play, and PlayOJO’s site showed App Store and Google Play badges. Before you download one, check it is published by the operator named on the register, and that deposit limits and time-outs work inside the app.

How will we score the casinos in our table?

We will score each casino only after reading its own terms page and confirming its licence on the UKGC register. Scores are not published yet. We have now read the full offer terms for six casinos (Unibet, Grosvenor, 888casino, LeoVegas, PlayOJO and Sky Casino), all on 29 September 2026, but a score needs every check complete, and verified offers alone do not make one casino better than another. Our full method is set out on our how we rate page.

Tom Ashby, our Casino Editor, does this work by hand. For each casino he reads the casino’s own terms, checks the licence on the UKGC register, records the date of each check, and updates the table. We do not take figures from press releases, adverts or other review sites.

Our scoring will look at the things you can check yourself:

  • Licence: active Casino Remote licence on the UKGC register, with a matching operator name.
  • Offer terms: how clear they are, and how the wagering, deadlines, maximum win and eligible games compare.
  • Payments and withdrawals: accepted methods, limits, fees and verification rules, as stated in the casino’s own terms.
  • Safer gambling: how easy it is to find and set limits, take a break and self-exclude.
  • Clarity: whether the key information is easy to find before you deposit.

We also remove casinos when the register changes. When we checked Casumo on 29 September 2026, its Casino Remote licence under account 39265 showed as Surrendered, so it is not in our table. We re-check every listed casino and record the date.

Read the full method on our how we rate casinos page. You can also read about the team on our about page and Tom’s author page.

What are the red flags of an unlicensed casino site?

The clearest red flag is a casino that you cannot find on the UK Gambling Commission’s public register. Others include credit card deposits, bonus wagering above 10x, no age checks, no safer gambling tools, and vague or missing company details. If you see any of these, do not deposit.

Unlicensed sites are not bound by the rules above. If something goes wrong, you have far fewer ways to get your money back. Watch for these signs:

  • No licence details in the footer, or a licence from somewhere other than the UK Gambling Commission.
  • The account number does not match the register, or the operator named on the register is different from the one on the site.
  • Credit card deposits are accepted for gambling. This has been banned for GB-licensed operators since 14 April 2020.
  • Wagering above 10x on a current offer. The cap has been in force since 19 January 2026.
  • Offers that tie casino rewards to sports bets, which licensed operators cannot do since 19 January 2026.
  • Slot stakes above £5 per spin, or above £2 per spin if you are 18 to 24.
  • Marketing that says it works around self-exclusion. GAMSTOP blocks access to accounts on GB-licensed gambling sites and apps. A site that advertises itself as a way around that is not one you should use.
  • No age or identity checks at any point.
  • Pressure tactics, such as countdown timers pushing you to deposit now, or promises of easy wins.
  • No safer gambling tools and no links to support services.
  • Vague terms, or terms that let the site cancel winnings for undefined reasons.

If you are not sure, run the register check from Step 1. It takes a couple of minutes and answers most questions on its own. Our guides section has more on staying safe.

How can I gamble more safely at UK casino sites?

Set a budget and a time limit before you play, use the deposit limits and break tools every UKGC-licensed casino provides, and never chase losses. If gambling is causing you problems, the free National Gambling Helpline is on 0808 8020 133, 24/7. GAMSTOP offers free self-exclusion from GB-licensed online gambling sites.

Gambling is a paid form of entertainment. You should expect to lose the money you stake. These habits help keep it that way:

  • Decide your budget first. Only use money you can afford to lose, never money for bills or essentials.
  • Set a deposit limit in your account settings before your first deposit.
  • Set a time limit or session reminder.
  • Do not chase losses. Trying to win back what you have lost usually leads to losing more.
  • Take breaks. Most licensed casinos let you pause your account for a set period.
  • Do not gamble to fix money worries or to cope with stress.
  • Keep gambling separate from drinking or when you are upset.

Your questions, answered

What is the best online casino in the UK?

No single casino suits everyone. The right one holds an active UK Gambling Commission licence, has clear bonus terms, accepts a payment method you use and offers deposit limits and self-exclusion. Our table lists ten UKGC-licensed casinos checked on the public register on 29 September 2026.

How do I know a UK casino site is licensed?

Find the Gambling Commission account number in the casino's footer, then search it on the UKGC public register. Check the operator name matches, the Casino Remote licence shows as Active and the brand or domain is listed. If any of these do not match, do not open an account.

What is the maximum wagering on a UK casino bonus?

Since 19 January 2026, wagering requirements on gambling bonuses in Great Britain are capped at 10 times. If a current offer from a site claiming a UK licence asks for more than 10x, check the terms date and the licence on the UKGC register before you go any further.

Can I use a credit card at UK online casinos?

No. Gambling businesses in Great Britain have been banned from accepting credit cards for gambling since 14 April 2020. Licensed casinos accept other methods, such as debit cards. A site that accepts credit card deposits for gambling is a sign it is not operating under a GB licence.

Are online casino winnings taxed in the UK?

Winnings are generally not taxed for UK players. Gov.uk lists betting, lottery or pools winnings among the things you do not pay Capital Gains Tax on. This is not tax advice, so speak to a qualified adviser or HMRC if your situation is unusual.

Where can I get help if gambling becomes a problem?

Call the free National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133, available 24/7, run by GamCare. BeGambleAware offers free advice, tools and support. GAMSTOP offers free self-exclusion that blocks access to accounts on GB-licensed gambling websites and apps.

Which UK casino has the fastest withdrawals?

We have not timed any withdrawals, so we do not name one. On 29 September 2026 we read casinos' own claims: bet365 aims to process in 4 hours, up to 24; Betway within 24 hours; PlayOJO says it processes 95% of requests within minutes. Your identity checks and payment method also affect speed.

Can I get a no deposit bonus at a UK casino?

Some UK-licensed casinos offer small no deposit bonuses, capped at 10x wagering like any other offer. None of the six welcome offers we verified on 29 September 2026 is a no deposit offer. LeoVegas and PlayOJO carry no wagering on spin winnings, but both need a deposit first.
